Advices Received:
From Lesley: I have family staying from overseas so don't be coming. Hope you all have a great time.
From Peter: Hi Barbara and Milan - I have just seen your posting on the website wanting response by 23 Feb for those coming to reunion.
Unfortunately we had planned to be at reunion as part of two week NI holiday - but for family reasons now having to go Nelson and SI. (Feeling sick about this as was looking forward to catch -up).
As one of the starting members of proposed planning and having missed the above date I am happy assist with cost of hall booking (internet banking if you would send bank account no) as you have no doubt had to confirm.
Any way in absence of myself will put something on website.
Finally thank -you and Milan for all the effort you have put into planning.
All the best for the week- end
Peter Gargiulo
Rob Campbell: Sorry, not free to attend.
Revell Vivienne: Attending Inaugural Reunion: No
We estimate there will be around 20+ attending including partners.
A courier pack has just gone out to Tony Page who was located yesterday in Tauranga.

From Milan:
I’m setting off today for Taupo ..sleeping in van.
Tonights overnight destination ..Barbara’s n Alex’s Pine Plantations ..the ones just north of Woodville .. where I’m looking forward to a walk up to my favourite lake there “ Lake B “ and dinner with Alex . Then it’s on to Hastings where I might be able to catch up with Murray . Once in Taupo ..if memory serves me correctly .. it’s drinks , chips and a hamburger on the FRIDAY 21ST night at the Wairakei Hotel garden restaurant with adjacent pub . Management has kindly agreed to provide wheel barrows to see guests to their rooms , which includes Murray . Christine has indicated perhaps being there as well ..with ‘ local ‘ Ian flagging he might be swing by with Brian … for a sip or two So if you’re free ..please join us . I’ll put a message in here once the first jug is on the table.
…also Barbara n Alex could be there …they’re coming via their campervan.. not sure when they arrive in Taupo.

It’s almost upon us! The proposed Bowen reunion: 1pm - 6pm on Saturday 22 March , Taupo.
In a couple of weeks we need to confirm or cancel the venue booking for the Acacia Bay Community Hall, 2 Wakeman Rd. Taupo, so we really need to know definite numbers by next week. Therefore please let us know by Monday night next week, 23 February, whether you are coming.
Reply to this message or via the website email: peoplesrepublicbowen@gmail.com
Details of venue, directions and what to bring will be published on this website.
We anticipate a memory table display for photos and other memorabilia people might bring, for example Pam Dormer is preparing a photo display board for the occasion.
If numbers are high enough we will go ahead with the booking, if they are low we will decide whether to just meet as a small group, perhaps on the lake front / cafe / park in Taupo. You will find the details of the proposed reunion, photos and location address on the website.
Meanwhile, keep checking in on the Bowen website, send in the contact details you wish to share with other Bowen people and thus gain access to the member-only page where for example, Milan has provided a link to his in-progress directory of public showers in the South Island, invaluable for those of us camping, biking or campervanning down there. You are welcome to add anything to your individual page too.
If you know of other Bowen residents who we have not managed to track down please contact them, pass the reunion and web-page details to them and ask them to reply to this message also. The website has been funded by Milan and will continue for at least this year. Hoping to see you at Taupo. (Milan and Barbara).

Re Password protected page:
To simplify we are going to remove password for access into the members details page . So you be able to go straight in there by clicking with no password to remember and load to enter.
Please let me know if you want any of the details currently shown in respect of yourself CHANGED either directly Facebook message me ( “ Milan Lazarevic “ ) or email what changes you want to: peoplesrepublicbowen@gmail.com
or text or call me on 027 501 0000
We anticipate this website will be ongoing at “no cost” to Bowen Reunion because in other “pages “ of the website behind passwords I’m going to load my business information I need to be available to me online, thereby easily covering the ongoing annual cost of this website for its Bowen Reunion part.
Really looking forward to catching up in Taupo at the both Acacia Event and at the Wairakei Resort Hotel evening gathering in their garden restaurant and adjacent pub.
